I would talk to your big and get some advice. Or even reach out to an older member you feel comfortable talking to and get her advice. That happened to me and I talked to someone I felt comfortable talking to and she helped me meet someone that she knew and I actually got closer with that girl. It’s easier once you reach out to people and hang out with others!

Senior here!! I agree with the other comment. You may feel like your late but my freshmen year friends did not turn out to be my lifelong/ college friends. Your big or any older girl is gonna be more than willing to help you and introduce you!! Best of luck

I would talk to your big and have a heart to heart. She is there to support you. It can take some time to make those connections. Don't get discouraged.

How often do you hang out at the chapter room, or wherever members seem to gather? Do you try to go to every event you can? girls can't make friends with you if you're not there.
It IS hard that first year. Is there something like Step Sing that the sorority is working on that you can do? Lots of times the weekend that you do rush workshop is a good time to get to know each other better. Hang in there, show up as much as you can, ask sisters for help studying...it'll happen. things are cemented when you go through the rush prep in the fall. Good luck, dear.
