Is Tri Sig really THAT bad?

No they aren’t really THAT bad. People are afraid of the new sorority and the fact they don’t have a large reputation in the south. I know many Tri Sigs who are some of the sweetest people I have ever met! I’m pretty sure they gave 110 bids so if you’re a new member you will definitely find some new friends!!

I am a new member, and not going to lie, I was very disappointed with how bid night went. They split us up into three groups, and my group seemed very off. They then took us to an arcade, but we were only there for like 15 minutes, and then they took us back to the chapter room, told us to sign some papers, and the told us to go home. I haven't really connected with anyone in pc 20, but U absolutely love everyone I have talked to in pc 19. Hopefully there will be more events and ways to meet people before initiation.

Tri Sig is new, and putting the new kids down makes others feel better. Happens everywhere. Everytime. Pathetic.
They have a wide mix of great girls and you can be anyone you want there. My roommate last year is a Tri Sig and she’s been less scared to ‘fit the mold’ than I was in my house. I love my house, but there’s something awesome about not having to be what everyone thinks you are. I think her PC was made to feel more welcome than we were.

Give it time queen. If in a few months you still dislike it you can def drop and rush next year (AS LONG AS IT'S NOT AFTER INITIATION!!!) I think the only thing wrong with Tri Sigma is that they are still pretty new to campus and haven't had time to build a tradition and legacies. They also aren't well known in the south as the only other SEC school with them is Mizzou (which has a strong chapter). There is no shame in dropping and trying again later if you truly believe you don't belong there, but it is wrong to not give it a chance. Try and make friends and have a good time, but don't feel like you're stuck. I hope you make the best choice for you:)
