Got Tri Sigma, now what
by: helpplsDef spent a while feeling sad that I got Tri sig, since I had them as #2 for pref and was told not to suicide, and am feeling very conflicted. The entire pledge class didn't want them either, but the rankings and comments on here about them have skewed my opinion through rush badly. Do you think we have the potential to turn it around/what needs t change? Why the bad reputation? Should I go through with it or is GDI the way to go... I have always wanted a sorority but questioning if they are right for me rn

If you would have suicided, you would have woken up today without a bid. You are in a pledge class of 100+ girls, and y’all have the potential to make that sorority whatever you want it to be. Surely out of all of those, you can find at least some that you can call a friend. I would suggest to try it out until initiation and if you don’t like it drop and rush again with a solid college gpa.

I've heard only positive things about them this week. I think they're just not as well known because the only other SEC that has them is Mizzou. A lot of other sororities are more well known in Alabama cause people's grandma, mom, aunt, sister etc was a member. Tri Sigma is still new in the deeper south, so don't have that "tradition" established yet. They are very popular in VA and NC and I'm sure will be expanding to more SEC schools in the near future if they do well at Auburn.

If the pledge class is good they have a potential to turn it around and make it better so they can grow and be more picky. They have a bad rep because they are new but like stick with it and find friends and if you don't like it then drop before initiation and do rush again.

I don’t know who you’re listening to if you’re saying the entire PC didn’t want them. Sure, some- but lots of girls are really, really happy. If you’re too scared of Greekrank, you’ve got bigger problems. You’ve got a better chance of fitting in at Tri Sig than any other house because they’re still diverse. If you get your head clear and jump in you’re probably going to have a better chance at a real sisterhood than barely getting into a house that thinks they’re all that.

Isn't it harder to rush as a sophomore? Why is their reputation so bad on here? All of the comments on other posts saying to stay away from them ...?
