Can someone explain EAGLES
by: AlumnaHi I’m so confused what happened? I saw the Panhellenic instagram and wanted to know what EAGLES and someone not getting a bid because of it was all about?

“War Eagle!” is a greeting shared across the Auburn campus and throughout the Auburn Family. The iconic eagle represents the Auburn spirit and the strength that is within all of us. It is therefore fitting that Auburn University’s comprehensive transition program for students with intellectual disabilities be known as EAGLES or Education to Accomplish Growth in Life Experiences for Success!

I don’t think the other replies understood what you’re asking. EAGLES is a program for students with intellectual disabilities to obtain an associates degree from Auburn. This year, they had the opportunity to go through Panhellenic recruitment. Every chapter took a vote on whether to participate in early spring. Some chapters who voted yes were unable to participate because of issues in their Bylaws (members must be working towards a 4 year degree). Other sororities just straight up voted no.
