COB Participation

Does any of the “top” sororities do COB? Or even the middle tiered ones? And from past years, about how many sororities participate? What are my chances of getting a COB? And has anyone here actually gotten a bid from COB? Thanks!

Lots of girls get COB bids! Some get them almost immediately after recruitment and some get them in the spring. There’s always a chance anyone will have to do COB but it usually will not be the “top” houses. Maybe one or two from the middle. I know that gamma phi, theta, and kappa did it last year

I’ve heard they call you on bid day, and you are invited into their house. Is that right?

I think that’s a possibility but not always the case! The girls I know who did it were called a week-2 weeks later

Y'all need to be real about COB choices. COB is rarely done by the so-called "top" or even medium groups. The often snap to quota on Bid Day and it's girls they've carried almost to the end of recruitment.

Literally all chapters can do cob. It’s usually in the spring. But this is 2020, so anything can happen. Totally expecting weirdness this year!

But they won’t though because the reality is certain sororities have way higher retention. Don’t have pnm’s setting their heart on unrealistic ideas. ESPECIALLY if they were dropped this early in the process

Most sororities COB. I know for certain that Zeta, pi phi, SK, gphi, axid, kappa, theta, tri sig, tri delt, dz and dg have in the past!

Many sororities won't have public parties if they COB. They'll either have private parties with girls they know or they'll take a vote in chapter without a party.

Snap bids can go to any PNM who did not SIP (single intentional preference aka suicide).
