PNMS listen up!!!
by: TruthWhen you go through recruitment, please don’t listen to others about their experience with the sorority you like. If you end up choosing that sorority, you are the one who attends the events and chapter meetings, not your friend. Actually being a member is so different than reading these comments on this site and looking at their instagrams and thinking you know it all. Regardless of what sorority you end up in, you won’t be crazy for everyone but you will absolutely love some who are there. This is your opportunity to actually get those lifelong friends that end up in each others weddings and find your best friends. Please don’t get caught up in the “I peaked in high school” mentality of feeling like you have to be in the prettiest sorority or the most popular sorority because that’s the only thing that matters. In 4 years it literally doesn’t matter what letters you wore, just the friends you made. Just be yourself and surround yourself with girls that you would be proud to call sisters and that you know genuinely care about you. Also if you are a PNM please don’t use this site to judge sororities. Most of these people will meet 1 person in a sorority and think that’s how they all act which isn’t true at all. Just go into recruitment with an open mind and I promise it will all work out and you will be in the house you are meant to be in.

It will most likely be a zoom with 2-3 girls. I think the cutting will be the same as in the past based on numbers.

Normally the first round is the biggest cut due to grades. So don’t get overwhelmed if you get dropped from a lot at first cause that’s always normal to have the most cuts the first round. As for amount of girls who you will be zooming with it depends on the sorority. Normally some sororities may do 2 girls and others do around 4 but with it being online I feel like they’ll probably just do 2 girls cause it’ll be easier

Are all first round cuts going to be based on grades this year since we do not get to meet anybody?

Pretty sure they will be cause sororities have a quota that they have to meet so they have to cut a certain number of girls each round. Every sorority has different GPA requirements so if you don’t have a good GPA it’s not like you’ll be dropped out of all of them cause some take girls with lower grades. Also during each round, sororities just have to make cuts to meet their number. So sometimes it might not even be a personal reason why they dropped you, they just need to cut X amount of girls so don’t get too worked up about the ones that cut you and focus more about the ones you still have

how will we be able to tell where we fit in when it is all virtual? how will houses make cuts?
