what are the real rankings here?

Being from Texas, some of the "top" at Auburn are very weak or nonexistent in Texas and most other parts of the country. Top public academic and greek schools usually have very strong Theta, Kappa, and Pi Phi chapters. And - when you graduate those sororities are much more noticed nationwide than any others on Auburn's campus.

Auburn, not being top at anything, will not align with other more prestigious schools.

PKT who's pissed her sorority isn't top at every school. Yeah they're big in Texas, but if you look at a lot of the strong Greek schools nationally you'll find that Pi Phi, Kappa, and Theta are not the clear cut top 3, and they don't even have the biggest alumni bases. People who aren't in any of those sororities aren't gonna give you extra prestige points for it giving you a job. Your attitude is bad, and PKT are falling at Texas by the way. People who aren't in those sororities aren't going to assume for any reason that you'd be a better person for the job by virtue of your membership. The SEC pretty much has the top Greek schools in the country, and I hate to burst your bubble, but PKT isn't a thing here.

You couldn't be more off the mark from top to bottom. Any time you post a ranking it is just a self-serving attempt to elevate your own group. Sad that some people are so insecure about their chapter.

Not much difference at Auburn between all the sororities. There is always the belief that there is a typical "type" of girl in a particular sorority - but each sorority is far more diverse than those general stereotypes. You are deluded if you say there aren't certain sororities that are more sought after during rush. But, you are also just as wrong to believe that if you're not in "those sororities" that you are just not as happy. Rankings really don't matter if you are truly looking to find a group where you fit best. The best sorority is the one you fit well in and you work hard to make it even better!

1) KD, Chi O, Alpha Gam, Phi Mu,
2) ADPi, AOPi, Pi Phi
3) ZTA, Alpha Chi, Tri Delt, DG
4) DZ, Sigma Kappa, Gamma Phi
5) Kappa, AXiD, Theta
First two levels are solid and 3) and 4) can be mixed up a bit but basically this is about right.

I know that a sorority and fraternity are for a life time...but, most 18 year old college students choose a Greek organization based on where they fit in at their particular campus.
