frat hazing

im an incoming transfer with friends who are in frats at ucla, usc, ucsb, and cal poly slo and they all got "educated", some worse than others. im sure uci is no different. heres the advice pretty much all my friends gave me.
it's just part of the life to build up a brotherhood, otherwise you're just joining a club. any frat worth its letters stays away from life-threatening tactics like forced drinking massive amounts of alcohol.
you're gonna be doing things that put you well out of your comfort zone, but if you ever feel like it's posing a risk on your life like forced alcohol consumption (which recently happened here), feel free to decline and if the frat doesn't respect that, drop. they're not worth your time.
just have fun with it and look after each other and you'll do fine
