Either way the quality/desired girls are then asked to hang out/get lunch etc. after a few times they basically commit and that's that. They get the house they want after formal recruitment

Most of the top ranking chapters do summer rush, if you're a guy hit up recruitment people on their site to meet people over the summer. If you're a girl and you haven't been dirty rushed yet, you probably wont be

Dirty rushing is for losers. If a sorority or frat is dirty rushing you it's 100 percent for superficial reasons. Another pretty face to add to their Barbie and ken doll collection. If you're being approached by actives, think about why they're approaching you. Then think about what your personal reason to go greek is, you want to be more than just a pretty face..

Tbh getting a good feel for more than one house will benefit you in the long run because you'll join a chapter you can be an asset to and benefit from, whether it be academics, leadership, sisterhood, etc.
