why did you rush?

by: SweSwe

I'm contemplating rushing the fall and was just curious about why you guys rushed and what you gained out of it. It's just to gain some insight about what people get out of greek life and what they're looking for.

I rushed because I wasn't in a very happy place coming out of highschool and I felt that if I wanted to make big changes in my life I should do something super different/foreign/out of my comfort zone. and I did. And it was fun and I met people facing similar struggles and such in life. I had no prior negative connotations about greek life tho, I just wanted to explore involvement in college, and I found what I was looking for. 11/10 would recommend at least giving it a try

I rushed as a third year rather than a freshman. I was happy in college and was having a good time before that but I just wanted more you know? More connections, more events, more opportunities, all of it. You're only here for four (maybe five) years and pay a lot of money to be here so I went out of my comfort zone to grow to have fun all of it. Try rushing just to see. You can always drop later but the only choice you'll actually regret is never trying

I rushed as a Junior (when I transferred here). I wasn't initially planning on rushing but I found out the guys in my chapter were all really cool, plus there was free food at rush so I was down.
