rushing sorority winter
by: ?I wanted to rush APhi or DG this winter rush, but they aren't doing winter. Should I wait next fall or see what winter rush has in store for me?

I would say just wait. You'll always regret and think wat would have happened if I rushed fall? Would I have gotten into APhi or DG?
And if you do fall you have the chance to be in APhi or DG and if you don't get them at least you know you tried and that wasn't the house for you. And you will be more at peace with whatever house you do end up getting

Saying aphi and dg are the only ones worth rushing for is like saying ksig and phi psi are the only ones worth rushing for. Expand your options to other sororities because they are all great as well as fraternities

Jesus, just go to other houses. How do you even know you like these girls? All sororities, including DG and APhi, want girls who get along, bot girls who are trying to social climb. It's weird, trust me. Because even if you got into DG, they might not like you back or you might not click so really don't go by rank and go with who you like.

Just quite the idea of only wanting Aphi or DG, because the reality is, you probably won't get into them even if they did winter rush. They already know which members to take for infomal recruitment, because they only invite the ones they want already or some really hot girls.

Yeah some of this is true, when DG or Aphi do COB current members invite their friends to rush etc so they only end up giving bids to girls they already know/want lol.

Honestly, I would at least check out other houses. What is great about winter is you don't have to pick a house. You can always rush fall if you don't find a house you really like. Aphi and DG are interesting with recruitment. Great girls but not so great during recruitment.

"Not so great during recruitment" but they are the most picked houses during recruitment and are the top two houses top girls end up with in the end...

My nice way of saying they are batches during recruitment lol. Just as an FYI, most girls pick them because they are "top." It is not for the quality of girls. Besides, my house gave 1s to a lot of girls that went Aphi or DG. Stop trying to act like you guys are the best. Everyone else hates you guys anyway lol.

those girls drop y'all the first day. All I see is people tryna rush DG and Aphi, where's everyone asking about whatever your chapter is. I don't get why you feel the need to be catty towards those houses just because they're favored over yours :/

People are asking about my chapter in real life haha but I'm not stupid enough to admit my affiliation on here Aphi/DG. Besides I'm stating the truth. We've given many 1s to girls you got. If you are happy with them cool. All I'm saying is it is not true all the girls you get are wanted by everyone. Get over yourselves.
Lets be real about the ones who are wanted though. Aphi and DG play games during recruitment and violate rules while most other chapters play by the rules. Never heard a girl say omg Aphi and DG were so nice! It's the stature they want, the top tier you have doesn't come naturally. In the real world, you have to follow the law or you get in trouble. Maybe your sorority should prepare you for the real world. Sorry I had to be a reality check.

Obviously it's not high on my list of concerns in my life if you look at it that way. But that's an easy way to avoid taking responsibility by saying people take it way to serious. Lol. Way to be politicians Aphi and DG.

Okay so I am in one of these sororities, I rushed in the fall and I think the girls are all super sweet and nice and welcoming, whoever said that you never hear a girl say omg Aphi and DG were so nice is so false because both of these sororities are really really sweet and genuine and I heard a lot of girls say this during recruitment. I did not pick a sorority for the ranking, I didn't know the rankings either going into it, I kept an open mind. I would suggest rushing in the fall so you can experience all of the sororities and it is a fun experience. I hope this helps, and I hope you find a home

I'm in the same boat, but honestly I know I would only accept a bid from Dg or Aphi so I just want to rush them. What do they look for in a new member? I don't really know any sorority girls but I just hear around and people say that Alpha Phi and DG are the only sororities worth rushing for?
