I'm rushing this year but I don't want to end up in the same situation... does anyone have tips to get into the house I wanted. I felt like I clicked with the girls and I still got dropped from the houses I felt a connection with :/

Don't be rude. Sometimes it doesn't work out with the numbers. I actually got my second choice. At first I was upset, but then realized how amazing the girls were over the few weeks I joined. And then, come to find out from girls in my first choice that they really wanted me and they ended up getting some girls they really didn't like! I ended up being close with both and it all worked out. But I was so depressed I thought they didn't like me.
The point is, just look your best, be confident, ask them about their sorority and experiences, and some small talk. If it goes into another conversation great! All about those connections! Best of luck.
