A lot of people associate the word “tradition” in fraternities with parties, hazing and Animal house… If we are going to talk tradition, let’s go all the way back to our founding. These tenets started with 12 men at Richmond college in 1901. Thus, the BMP is the true traditional fraternity experience.

The only reason you're trying to model new SigEp after only grades is because you wanna get a "good job" pat on the back by Nationals. Fraternities are a lot more than padding your resume, they're an experience that turn you into a man and among the best years of your life. You won't provide that.
