kd legacy
by: PNM 2016So excited to be accepted in the UF Class of 2020! Cannot wait to go through recruitment!! My mom was a KD at UF over 20 years ago and she loved it! She is so happy I get a chance to see how great this experience is. The thing that has me worried is that all the KD alum that my mom knows in person and online say that ALL their daughters have been dropped from KD after 2nd Round....they don't keep their legacies. My mom said it makes the alums mad but it is just the way it is. Should I care about KD if they drop their legacies or should I even let them know? Just wondering?

False....I was a legacy and was dropped after round 1 even though the conversation was extremely personal and went great. There is no guarantee with legacies but honestly everyone ends up where they are supposed to be and I am so happy where I am now and genuinely know and love girls in every chapter.

ADPI does accept legacies, and they should.... this is the top house at UF, and they are very selective on who they take, but legacies do get dropped in the house as well...... the person has to be a fit. If the legacy does not fit in, then they will be dropped. Legacies to be considered 1st at any house. Period.

I was a freshman and I was a Adpi legacy and I was dropped before prefs. Of course I was upset, I wanted a bid to Adpi. So I dropped out rush. I rushed again my sophomore year and did get a bid to Adpi. Adpi very hard to get a bid from.

ADPI takes more legacies than other houses but it does not guarantee you a bid and many moms of gamma iota daughters have been upset over the years but many others have been happy. All legacies will get a serious look.
KD and ZTA are totally different. You are on the same level as all the other PNMs. Don’t get your hopes up. These top houses make the biggest cuts. Be open minded. There are 17 other houses here.

such an over rated house...... KD not a top house, they think they are but they are not..... they are 5 or 6/ but not top tier. Nothing special about these ladies, just average girls with BIG HEADS. PC class of 15 was so stellar, that they had to give snap bids? Really? What the hell was that? if is called being full of themselves....arrogance is a simple term, I would call it.

I am a Tri Delt from the 80's at UF. My daughter went thru rush this fall, was a legacy at DDD. They did not offer he a bid, she did not care, as she went to another house that she really loved more. The second round she had a DDD sister that obviously did not want to be there that was down right rude to my daughter. IF a house treats a legacy like this, this is what they are really like. Please keep an open mind, just because you are a legacy, does not mean that you are a good fit...... My daughter joined a top house and loves it. Legacies do not mean that much anymore...... DDD was not for her, she was elated that she did not join that house..... she is happy elsewhere.

KD is a bunch of wannabes try another house if they drop you. You might be happier
