letters of recommendation
by: PNMSo im looking into 3 different SEC schools and UF is the only one whose greek rank isn't covered in questions about letters of recommendation. I was wondering if they are common and if they help girls get top tier houses!

If you can, get them: they don't hurt you! So, ones from alumnae aren't as strong as from active sisters, unless its from a woman who was in the chapter at the same school. We had a girl come through with a letter from someone on our national council. We knew she was perfect the moment we met her, and she got extra attention during Round 1 because she had a strong letter. My chapter places legacies first. They and women with letters get more attention than those with neither.

I did a suicide this year, and I got my top choice. I could not see myself at the other two houses that I went to Pref's..... I had to suicide. I took the chance because I really did not the other two houses........ I found out later that my top choice really wanted me too, from the get go and they wanted me before prefs.... please follow your heart... that is what I did......... I would not have taken a bid from the other two houses. Period. If I would have not got a bid, I would have been fine with it. I wanted my first choice really bad. And I got it. My mother also did the suicide here at UF, she also got her 1st choice. Suicide works, trust me.....
