greek life
by: g8rmWhy are greeks hypocrites? Why do greeks call themselves men and women? Why would any one want to join a group just to be superficial and generally unliked, while simultaneously not being community effective and learn established principles of their gender? Anyways i reallly want to rush tri delt but im not sure the boys will give me a vote... Any suggestions?

Considering Greek sororities and fraternities raise the most amount of money for DM, have involvement in Cicerones, Student Government, Florida Blue Key, Gator Growl and many other notable organizations on the UF campus, are required to have their own philanthropy events and much more campus oriented activities, it's obvious that you have no idea what Greek life is actually about. It sounds like you either have a grudge on the Greek community, perhaps for not accepting you bc they could see how close minded of a person you are, or you came into college with the preconception of what Greek life is based off of Legally Blonde because you obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

The fact that you believe raising money is considered service is appalling. Raising money doesnt mean smack, its what lazy folks do in order to seem as though they reaching into the community to help, but really do not care. Every organization you donate money too, would much rather actually see you come and PARTICIPATE so you can grow into an adult. Life aint about raising money all morning then just getting slammed at night. Its about growing as an individual though service. And greeks only community service is calling daddy to donate 1000 dollars so it looks as though your sorority cares, but the truth is, yall dont do a thing. If greeks actually did real community service college towns around the nation would be prestine with that kind of effort... I have vollunteed my ass off for the past 6 years in gainesville at the local food bank, the florida state park service, national forest service, florida trail association, and shands hospital and I HAVE NEVER ONCE SEEN A GREEK VOLLUNTEER, and these are organzations that have been dying for greek involvment, but they will never get it. Stop being stuck up and start becoming an adult.
