Trying to get info for upcoming recruitment, but GPhi at UF doesn't have a page yet on here. So I figured I would make this thread instead to serve the purpose. Since they're new, I'm just curious about how their chapter has shaped up so far this semester and where everyone thinks they're going from here.

I was super judgmental and thought they were gonna be a bunch of weird people, but I've met a few and they are actually really pretty and awesome!!! I see attractive girls around campus with the letters on and I'm actually very glad that they have a good foundation like that and great possibility for a good chapter in the future!

A lot of them are pretty damn attractive for being a brand new sorority. Loved having a social with them. Really fun girls!

I wish I had rushed gphi rather than my own sorority.. My friend is in it and she says that her sisters truly care about each other. Also they're pretty and down to party if that's what you're looking for in a house

I'm happy that they were able to pull off a solid foundation in only one semester. Excited to see how Alpha Phi does in 2017...

Oh and they gave my chapter candy so that's pretty cool

And as far as future outlook, I think they can be easily "ranked" higher than 2-3 of the bottom tier, as much as I hate that system. Maybe they'll keep going up

How's their leadership? I've seen a picture or two of their executive council, but I don't think they've done much in their positons since nationals was here all semester.

Overall, they did as expected. They tried to make a name for themselves. Looks-wise, they have a few pretty girls but most are not. They are very nice though. They have socials with the bottom frats.

I wouldn't say that they "tried" (and failed) to make a name, they did. Catching up with established chapters and making our Greek community even stronger.

Very sweet group of girls, but I was not impressed by their bid day pictures when I creeped through. They may be nice, and if they try hard enough they can improve, but they're definitely still the bottom.

Agree. I know we're all trying to be nice and give pan love, but let's be 100% honest. They are nowhere near middle-tier level yet. Super nice though.

I agree with you that not all of the girls are models, but honestly a majority of the girls are easy on the eyes.. That plus being nice = easily mid tier in my opinion. But to each their own I guess

There can't really be an opinion on them yet. The people who rushed them were nationals & people looking for involved girls. They even reached out to a couple of well-known girls who were also known as non-Greek about coming to their rush personally. Not hating on it because that's the way it should be (involvement over looks any day tbh). They have advisors and everything so I am waiting until next rush when the girls in the actual chapter pick the PNMs and they do not have someone telling them exactly what to do.

However, they are all super sweet girls and you should definitely give them a chance just like every other chapter!!

It takes about 3 years for a chapter to get its place settled in the UF system. I like what they've done so far, but they need time to develop their image/type

They'll probably stay next to or below Phi Mu for their first few PCs. Not to bad though for being only one semester in!
