spring 16 vs fall 16
by: QuestionIf a Freshman say got a 1.60 GPA their fall semester here, but got a 4.0 spring, should they rush spring? And if they did, would they end up not being initiated because spring grades don't come out until after spring initation? Or would it be better just to wait for Fall rush. Basically, do chapters care about GPA?

currently we have no idea which chapters are doing spring recruitment. my guess is it will be very few if any at all, and if that is the case there will be MANY girls competing for sometimes six or seven spots. i would recommend that you wait until fall as you will have a chance with all the houses. Chances of getting a spring bid are almost zero.

Most chapters have a min. GPA of around a 2.75. So if you rushed in the spring you wouldn't be given a bid. If you get a 1.60 your fall semester, I highly doubt you will be getting a 4.0 your spring semester. But if you do, and your averaged GPA is above a 2.75, you should be OK.
