transfer junior rushing fall?

by: clueless

I'm a potential transfer student from a private university up north, and had chosen not to go greek up there. Should I choose to transfer to UF do juniors ever have a shot getting a bid? I feel like greek life would be a great addition to my experience as a transfer!

Yes, it is possible for juniors to join! It will mostly likely be more challenging, and you will have to be open to ALL chapters, but there is an "upperclassman quota" and if you have strong grades, a good resume, are personable/have great conversation skills, and come to recruitment polished and prepared, you can absolutely get a bid. Also, if you transfer during the spring, be sure to get involved on campus and meet women in sororities so that you can have friends in various chapters. I don't want to minimize the point that you will have to be open to ALL chapters and that for many juniors it simply does not work out, but it is not impossible.
