I noticed that some of the girls were talking to alumns. Does that mean those were the girls potentially getting invited back for prefs.....

This is great. Hopefully GPB girls will be intelligent and mature and not fall into the trap of the fake "tiers", which are not recognized by UF, UF Panhellenic, or any other Greek authority anywhere.

750+ went to at least one drop in/open event. 200-250 new members, I'm bad at estimating, but a full size chapter. 20% senior, 25% junior, 30% sophomore, 25% freshman.

ΓΦΒ has done a good job but I bet the "powers that be" will force them into last place for the next decade or so. They'll now be perceived as a "threat" and they'll get badmouthed no matter what they do.

I say ΓΦΒs should just forge their new sisterhood and ignore the naysayers! They don't need anyone judging them, nor should they care what others think. I hope the fraternities clamor to mix with them and turn the loudmouths upside down!

First of all congrats to all the new members! You all took a leap of faith joining a new chapter and I honestly think you'll be thankful you did. Secondly, there appears to be a lot of animosity already going on on this thread and that's no way to kick start one's intro into UF's Greek community. Keep it positive girls and I think you'll find support from your fellow Greek chapters. Colonizing is a difficult process at any campus but don't get discouraged it'll be worth it! If you set out thinking houses are secretly set on putting you down you'll have a very hard time making positive connections with your new neighboring houses and that's crucial to your chapter's success. Pan love ladies!

I'm glad that I have gotten a bid knowing these girls are purely intent on bettering our charter chapter. We're doing something special and it's not like we care that we're "bottom". No matter what "tier" you are we all have the same opportunities and attend the same events. Pan love and meet my sisters before you judge them, I haven't met a bad apple yet.
