For those of you who went to the drop in event for gamma phi beta tonight what did you think?

I was a junior that went there last night but I don't think I'll continue with rushing GPhi. The majority of girls I met last night were awkward freshman and I felt really out of place. I thought I'd give it a shot though! Not for me but I'm sure it will be a great sisterhood.

I'm a junior and I thought the same thing I only talked to freshmen and sophomores and they were just kinda awkward and I'm thinking about not going through with it

I'd still try for a bid. You can be the person who makes a difference plus you can drop later. Maybe those awkward girls won't get bids.

I went last night and I did meet awkward girls but there were some that were really nice. If more girls stay then the bids will be more competitive so some of the girls that were awkward may not get a bid.

I would like to know what everybody means by "awkward." These girls got accepted at UF. so I guess they've got some brains and must have something going for them. I just keep seeing that word thrown around a lot.

average UF sorority girls, minus the sorority part. pretty enough, seem smart and driven. mayyybe slightly on the preppy side it seemed but that might just be because people tried to look cute but without looking like they tried. the only sense of awkwardness came because you're in a room of strangers, but no one really awkward themselves. I heard there's like 200 bids to give out but over 700 applicants.
