no such thing as tiers

by: ddd

Why do so many of you persist in talking about something that does not exist? "Rankings" or "tiers" do not exist anywhere. Not in any panhellenic authority. Not in any UF authority. They just don't.

It boggles the mind that so many of you are so vain as to think that "rankings" and "tiers" exist simply because you make them up and type them into online posts. Really? How simplistic can you be?

The fact is, there is no panhellenic authority, anywhere, that "ranks" sororities into "tiers" or otherwise. So stop pretending there is. That perv frat boys prefer some houses over others says nothing, except perhaps about the houses they prefer. :p

Also stop commenting on your own posts ddd, it's painfully obvious. No one with your opinions comes on this site at all let alone half as much as you do, considering you spend your entire life on here.

LOL. I don't comment on my own posts, as you claim. That must be something you do all the time, no? Being as superficial as you are, I have no doubt. BTW, it just kills you that so many here agree with me, doesn't it?

You can keep talking about it all you want. Nothing will change because of what you say, sorry. Maybe voice your opinions against tiers on a website other than one called Greek RANK. that is the entire premise of the website so Im confused as to why you are so bewildered to see that on here. You act superior to everyone on the site yet seen to miss that detail and continue to post things that do not matter to anyone.

"Nothing will change"

That's right. You can make up and post all the "rankings" and "tiers" you want, and "nothing will change", because they don't exist! No Panhellenic authority at UF recognizes "rankings" or "tiers"! Fact! Get used to it!

Nobody cares about "Panhellenic authority." Are you kidding me? This is OBVIOUSLY all the students opinion and people listen to it. I don't like tiers, but your argument is very ineffective. As you can tell by the thousands of posts of this sight, tiers are apparent whether we like it or not. Don't be in denial about it, just ignore it.

Tiers exist.

Where are they? Show us. Point us to a UF source, or to a UF Panhellenic source, that "ranks" sororities into "tiers". You won't be able to, because no such "rankings" exist. You making up a list in your dorm and posting it on a message forum is not a legitimate source; it's gibberish.

Teirs exist, it sucks but they do. I don't like them (trust me I am what is considered bottom so it only hurts me that it exists) but I am not going to be as ignorant as to say they do not exist. It's a socially recognizable construct created amongst the Greek community based upon looks, involvement, & social pairings (for sororities and fraternities). You continuously ask for a Panhellenic or UF verification of the teirs but it doesn't and will never exist, but this doesn't mean that the teirs don't exist. What you are asking for is like asking for visual proof of the existence of wind. All you can do is see its effects, you can't see wind but it's still there. Your heart is in the right place, but the way to end teirs and judgments isn't by denying their existence but breaking down the barriers that are in fact real. Also, stop calling frat guys Pervy, I have a lot of respectful and genuine friends in fraternities and it's an absolute blanket term of disrespect.
