how does bid matching work after prefs? I plan on telling (subtly, not like weirdly lol) each sorority I pref at (if I have 2 or 3) that they are my top choice. What happens if I end up on my real top choice's 2nd bid list and my second choice's 1st list?

Then you'll most likely wind up at the house of your second choice.

It depends on how many people on your first choice house's top list wind up matching there. Where you are on your second choice's list won't affect your chances at your first choice. So what matters most is how many of the PNMs listed above you wind up picking (and matching) another house as their first choice.
