sigma kappa bullying

by: Concerned

There has been so much on this site about bullying in Sigma Kappa. Most seem to admit that it is true. So, is anything being done to address/change/fix it?

It is sad that it has not been addressed at all from what I can tell. Silence on the issue. Too bad our house is focusing more on spray tans and wedges and not dealing with the heart of the matter....respect and friendship among the sisters.

Alright, we get it, SK bullies. Let's not continue to shame them every ten posts on here, I feel bad for them. Let them have a chance at recruiting better quality sisters.

To the sisters who recklessly set up a secret Facebook page against other sisters and who chose to publicly embarrass others about their beliefs on social media, I hope that you are happy that you have publicly embarrassed our entire chapter. I hope that you realize that a great deal of this negativity posted here and elsewhere would not have occurred if you had not done these things. I hope that you realize that are so many sisters who have been directly and indirectly affected by your actions. Some will leave the chapter and those that stay will have to work hard to improve the image of a sisterhood tarnished by your actions. I hope you have learned something from this and will have a greater respect for your sisters in the future.

I'm actually in a different chapter on campus but as a suggestion... Instead of getting upset at your sisters on this anonymous page, you should think about talking to them in a non anonymous way and let them know there how upset you are about the behavior they exhibited and how it has affected you and your chapter. This could be more effective in getting to the root of the problem and fixing the problem within your sisterhood.
