Strapless dress

by: Pnm

Someone from a sorority in bama told me strapless dresses are frowned upon for rush and can get u dropped. Csn someone pls speak on this and I know each sorority is different so I’d like the opinion of different sororities. I’m talking about a cute classy strapless dresses.

Two things:
I have never seen a top-heavy pnm in a flattering strapless dress. That doesn't make me want to see her wearing my letters when I'm wondering 'what was she thinking, did she look in the mirror'

when a strapless dress, on anyone, is also really short it is a red flag to my house, so pick one way or the other, strapless dress longer length or short length covered on top.

It's not about the dress, it's about YOU IN THE DRESS.

As someone who isn’t top heavy and is wearing a longer strapless dress and one that isn’t tight fitting what do you think. I just wanted to make sure like there isn’t like an unspoken rule in houses that says if u wear a strapless that’s not a good look and ur getting cut.

It is absolutely not a rule. If it is flattering and you look classy and poised then you are good for recruitment. It's the girls that look inappropriate for recruitment rounds, like they are going clubbing, that get judged. Same way at Bama too.

You are absolutely fine with a strapless dress as long as its classy and doesn't show a lot of cleavage. If it's something you could wear to a bar/club, don't wear it. I wore a flowy strapless dress when I rushed and I wasn't dropped by a single house. I'm wearing strapless dresses to recruit this year in fact too. If you want to post a pic or link, I'm happy to help more.
