Be interested, interesting, and engaged in your conversations. Dress for success and to flatter your body type. Appropriate makeup for daytime. Be prepared to lead the conversation if you get a first time rusher who freezes up. At the end of the party tell her you are glad to have met her and thank her for the nice time you had there.

Someone doing pace aka starting online for the first semesters it clearly states we can rush but is there any prejudice are looking down upon people who are online and not living on campus for first semesters?

Question if I don’t have a letter of rec, how big of a deal is it like? I’ve been told to try to reach out to alumni, but like I don’t know any of my supposed to reach out to them even though I don’t even know them and ask me to write me a recommendation letter is that how it works or like what do I do for recs I don’t know any?

Recs are not required so it's not a huge deal but every sorority still accepts them except Phi Mu, and recs don't have to come from an alumna anymore. You can get them from a third party, someone who knows you well personally and what your strengths are to write them: a teacher, coach, school counselor, boss, philanthropy rep, etc. They can write the same info for multiple houses, and then you need the thank them with a note and little token for doing that for you. If you just can't do it then don't sweat it, but some girls are going to make sure they have them for at least some of the sororities, especially the ones that are harder to get into. Recs will never get you a bid but they get you a little bit more attention.

Round 1 is only a virtual open house for the pnm's to see the chapters' videos. The sororities will have already made their Round 2 invitation lists before you step foot on campus. They review all pnm information over the summer and during work week.
Each chapter considers GPA, resume, social media, your 90 second video, and any prior connections you have to current members, but "what things hold the most weight" is different for every chapter. There's nothing you can do or should worry about as far as what each sorority is looking for at Round 1; just show your best in every aspect. If you can get recs then get them too, they never hurt.
To have your best chance at this point, get all your stuff in early so you are on their radar ASAP; pnm's that wait until the last minute are more likely to be an afterthought and fall through the cracks. Clean up your social media and follow all the chapters over the summer, not just certain ones. And if you are rushing as an upper classman having already been in school here, then you have met sorority members and can reach out and let them know you are coming through.
Round 2 is where the in-person conversations and how you present yourself matter. Each chapter has a 'vibe' and they and you are seeing if you'll be a fit with them. Just be yourself; trying to be something you think chapters are looking for will be a disaster. The interest you show in a chapter is important too, especially for Round 3 if you want to go to their pref; they need to know, so tell them, they can't read your mind. Understand that the sororities never see how pnm's rank them so they don't consider that at all. They only know what they pick up from you in person.

What’s considered late to turn stuff in for rushing in fall? Also if your coming in as a transfer (did summer classes at another school) should I wait to submit my resume with the most current classes early Aug or just get in my summer grades? Thank u!

What do they wanna see on the resume? Grade ya extra curricular ya what else? Is my act score and stiff like that necessary? My major? Or like how do ik what to put I have no idea what to put and people are saying diff things?

Recruitment registration is due by Aug 3 and you can only do it in one submission, no adds or updates. Will you be guaranteed to have those final grades by then? That's cutting it kind of close, better to go ahead and register with everything you currently have as soon as you can, mid July would be my latest, earlier if you can manage it, and just list the current classes with a note stating 'final grade pending' or whatever. A few late summer class grades aren't going to be a deal breaker but not getting noticed will be.
What do they want to see on your resume? Everything! GPA, test scores, honors, leadership, sports and any other extracurriculars, any activities and interests that are not school-related (such as equestrian or playing an instrument or a cause you have a passion for), honors, community service, work experience. Sororities need to see that you are a doer and value being involved and giving back, and can keep your grades up at the same time. Also they want to see who to pair you with during recruitment so you have something in common to talk about.

Yes, it can put you at a disadvantage to not have any ig presence. Sororities really do rely on it to get an idea of the pnm's they will be rushing.

Oops! Forgot to add that you need to be open to ALL the chapters. I know it’s hard not to be influenced by their social media and campus gossip, but try to be in the moment at the parties. If you feel yourself not connecting with a house declared tops, it’s okay to not go back there. Similarly, if you fall in love with a house that is ranked low on this site, go for it. You need to be true to yourself to get the most out of sorority life. If your favorite doesn’t ask you back, pick a new favorite from the invitations you do have, and do this as many times as you have to. As to recs, they don’t hold the sway they used to.
