tbh rushing as a sophomore is a lotttt easier. you’re competing with girls in the upperclassmen quota so you are ranked separately than freshmen girls. sophomores are usually more confident than freshmen since it’s not like their first week on campus.

i think the best thing you can do to stand out is to:
- keep being social (if you’re in gainesville for the summer, keep meeting people in greek life!!)
- make sure your socials are cute and display ur personality. don’t do anything problematic or messy!!!
- keep grades/involvement up if you’re taking summer classes

if you’re going out, don’t over do it because some girls do judge (even the party houses) and will drop you if ur a menace over the summer. so it’s definitely about balance.

if the house you want back is one of ur friend’s houses i would emphasize to them how much you want their house (they might rank you higher because they know u want them), but try to keep your options open!! Most of my friends who re-rushed had veryy different schedules and ended up joining houses they got dropped from the first time around lol

Reasons . My friends from HS got bids to Kd, Adpi and Tri delt . I thought for sure my friends would help me get into one of those three houses. I had letters of recommendations for all three houses. Guess what I rushed as a sophomore and got dropped by all three. I preferred at DG and Chi O. I joined one of those houses and it was the best thing that happened to me. I am going to be a senior and I LOVE my house. The moral of the story is forget tiers, forget how you want the top house. You will end up where you belong. A good fit at a house may not be a good fight for you . I was so hung up on getting into Kd, Adpi, Zta or Tri delta.
