Revealing bid day dresses

by:

Hi all UF alum here. I love looking at all the bud day posts on Instagram (I miss college!) but how are some of these dresses allowed? Like no hate y’all look AMAZING but some of these outfits would have gotten my sisters sent to standards with the massive cut outs and revealing fits. Just wondering how this is now allowed and if standards is even a thing anymore???

I heard UF ZTAs last year were reported to their national office for what they wore for bid day. Several moms (legacies) that were present sent an email.

I’m also old and agree y’all look amazing but I am really surprised Panhellenic hasn’t stepped in. We would get warnings or fined for all sorts of ridiculous things back in the day (like too many people wearing same color)!

DDD was the most scantily dressed that I saw. Shocked. Some aopi and theta…but DDD was the most. It definitely portrays an image that frat boys love (probably why they list them as top tier) but kind of makes it seem like that’s all they are about, which is unfortunate.

Nomother SEC school looks this way for bid day. Even FSU bid day looks classy. It’s honestly embarrassing.

I'm a DDD alum from another school and I was very embarrassed.

Why doesn’t panhellenic step in? Or maybe they don’t have any power? The hooker look hurts everyone in Panhellenic.

Seriously makes UF look bad… even FSU is classy on bid day. It’s really unfortunate for the school’s reputation and the prestige of Greek life

it’s because standards has no power anymore. girls are allowed to black out, letter frats, wear obscene outfits with no consequences. standards chair’s grow a backbone and start kicking girls out, fining them, and not being so afraid of members. no one wants to hear this, but when hazing stopped, behavior got worse.

Standards is just more college girls who also don't know any better.

I noticed in pics that chi o and kappa looked more like bid day at other SEC schools- cute themes, traditional jerseys with letters for the girls in mc, members didnt look like they were at a club

It’s just not a good Bid Day look for UF. A few bad ones drag the whole panhellenic organization down. Rumor of a local station supposedly doing a story and pulling posts to use. Hopefully, not true bc UF Greek Life doesn’t need more negative press!!

I think the true issue here is the state of FL has diversity in fashion depending if your from the North end(Jacksonville/North West(Destin) or the South End. People dress different even at the beaches. Thus, no UF does not dress like most SEC schools. They have a lot of out of State people from outside the SE and from the South End of the state. Miami is always 5 years ahead in fashion. You do not have to like the looks or wear them no one is asking you to but you cannot judge them. Send your children to more conservative schools or stop complaining.
