What to know before you step into the first house
by: The truthAnyone who chooses their sorority based off someone else's opinion deserves the miserable 4 years they will experience in a house that fits someone else's personality. I know there is pressure to fit in, but you're in college and you will have fun, make great friends, go to football games and party no matter what house you choose. Be confident in yourself enough to ignore the ignorant comments made by mean girls and choose to be yourself whether thats the house they think is #1 or not. Good luck and trust the process PNM's!

don't spend your next 4 years trying to "fit in" to a house, find a house where you feel that you truly "belong" with your sisters. If you let any of the ridiculous rank/tier posts on this site form your opinion against your gut instinct, you'll never find a true sisterhood.

Do not listen to your fellow pnm's. Pnm's act like they know what they are talking about but that is actually a joke. Even last year's new members, who have not rushed yet on the other side as actives, don't even know what they're talking about half the time. Other pnm's will lie to your face about their schedules and how their rush is going to save face about being dropped or to try to brag, and a few will even purposely try to mess with your head, because they are just that way (mean girls, right, I know.)
Not trying to be negative, just trying to give you confidence in yourself instead of letting others influence you. You are not an expert in rush but you ARE an expert in YOU. Trust your gut, it knows the truth!
And finally, when you are at pref, look around the room at the other pnm's with you at that house's pref, and consider that many of them would be in your new member class. This group will make or break your sorority experience, much more so than the older girls who are rushing you. So consider that, and if you like what you see at your pref houses.

Definitely don't listen to girls in the tent giving opinions about houses...they do not have your best interest at heart and they do not know what you value..there will be super nice girls who genuinely want to talk and there will be the catty girls that haven't left the high school mentality. Def stay away from the latter
