tryna have friends who are fun to b around but are also driven and not gonna wanna go out and party the night before a big test. good influences who can yes, have fun, but dont just only care about having the college experience. nothing wrong with that, and as other commenters are saying certain houses, it was a valid question. no judgement for those who come from money and can afford to go into an easy major and just have fun but some of us want to surround ourselves with driven people. sorry!

That definitely IS judgement from you about "those who come from money and can afford to go into an easy major." How narrow minded and arrogant. Your high school academic success is great and all, but that was a very, very small pond. You are now entering a school full of smart, driven people, from all kinds of backgrounds and you are about to have a rude awakening. The pond is big now and you are going to be a much smaller fish in it. There are any number of people here who are smarter, more driven, and more successful than you. Some of those will "come from money" as you put it but they are in engineering, math, sciences, medicine and every other major on this campus. And an "easy major" in your eyes does not equate to not being driven or talented and only focused on fun. You have no idea about your peers and really could learn a thing or two about academic diversity. If you can't be more humble and accepting here, your elitist attitude will not earn you respect or gain you many friends. Or offer you a good sorority experience.

i dont know why ur getting so offended when all i am saying is i want to b surrounded by people who are supporting of having a difficult workload outside of the sorority. i will not have much free time myself and dont want to become best friends with girls who will make me feel left out because of that. not in a way where im looking down at people but it is just a personal thing i am looking for in the people i want to surround MYSELF with. you are making a LOT of assumptions without knowing me. if you knew me in person u would know im not rude or condescending to people, i just chose to ask on this page which sororities have more of an academic reputation because that is what i am looking for, not in a way where im calling people stupid, just because i want to know where to surround myself with people who like to put more time into academics and where id find a supportive group of girls where wed want eachothers success. does not mean i view other people negatively, it’s because i know what is personally right for me. you are saying everyone here is driven and i take it back even in easier majors im sure that’s true i mean it is uf but the fact that you are so offended by a question like this shows that again the question was valid because there are some houses where the girls would be more understanding to this kind of concern and not take this so wrongly when it wasnt meant to be rude
