sooo..."hell no", I'm not in alpha phi, but I did read the initial post and it sounded like the girl did not get dropped as you suggested, but rather she dropped them during the process. And was just wondering why she might be getting contacted, and in an effort to spread a little pan love and support, thought it would be nice to at least point out that they are working hard to recruit and build a chapter. No reason for you to be so nasty and bitter.

I don’t know why you felt the need to come on here and hate on a sorority trying to grow. As if all the other sororities don’t reach out… at least from my experience! To be clear though, them reaching out doesn’t mean you are guaranteed to join. They are probably just trying to see if you would be a good fit with them.

THIS!! I know several girls who have been dmd by aphi, gphi, and phi mu and went to their events but never received a bid. A dm does not equal a bid...
Also just to throw it out there going into recruitment all of the houses are awesome and only trolls come on here and say stuff like this. The girls starting chapters like aphi or gphi are nice and incredibly passionate and dont deserve to be called desperate for wanting to grow their chapters (just like every other single house does too & also dms girls btw)

aphi is a little desperate, but any new house is. they want to bulk up and become a full chapter. it’s hard when you don’t have a house or much existing social capital. if it’s not for you, don’t engage and drop them. p.s. every sorority dms in the spring. two top sororities messaged me over ig and it read just like the aphi messages. it’s normal and you just are predisposed to look down on aphi. i’d get an attitude check, bc all tiers can smell meanness a mile away and won’t want you

Desperate? Come on. These girls are building a new Alpha Phi chapter at UF and building a big house too. I wouldn't consider them desperate. It's a lot of work to recruit, much less establish a whole new chapter! The girls I met during recruitment a few years ago were on a mission...kudos to them. It wasn't for me mostly because I didn't rush until later in college and I wanted to live in a house at some point, but pan love to the girls on all their hard work.
