Message to PNMs

Dear potential new members,
Every chapter has good members and bad members, the girls that rush you have been chosen for you by a membership selection team so often times you will have things in common that can make it seem like its a perfect match.
The best piece of advice I got during recruitment was to talk to the other PNMS in the tends before the parties, I ended up basing my decision on this. I was really torn between two houses and on pref round I got along with the girls outside one house more.
Regardless of where you end up, you will find your people.
If what you want is people you connect with go with whatever house you truly feel most at home with. If what you want is to associate with frats or to feel secure socially, pick a top. There is nothing wrong with this if this is what you hope to get out of a sorority.
You get out what you put in, it will all work out.

That’s a really quick decision and my not turn out the best for a pnm. I am in top and the fact is that many of the same girls were at my round 3 and pref parties. I met one of my besties during round 3 at a house that neither of us prefer at.
OP is right about most houses have some bad apples. Look at retention and how many girls drop from houses. Panhellenic has these numbers. If more members drop and don’t stay active over another, it’s obviously not as worth joining than another. Numbers don’t lie
