Sorority recruitment is superficial. Maybe it’s not fair, but it is what it is. Ranks will basically always match up with return rates. Objective data like TOR scores are nice but they don’t make a chapter more desirable to PNMs. That being said, the rank of your chapter does not determine how strong your sisterhood is or how happy you will be in college. There are people in top houses that are miserable and wish they chose a different chapter. There are also people that probably cried when they got their pref list but are now happier then they ever imagined they could be. Coming on this board to try and convince people that your chapter is “top tier” because you raised a lot of money or have a high GPA makes you look desperate. Bashing “top” houses and calling them names is just as pathetic as people in “top” houses coming here to bash lower ranked chapters. Love your sisters, be proud of your chapter and stop making everything about your own ego.

For the most part, PNM’s generally don’t decide what houses they want to come back to based on objective measurements. They are choosing based on superficial rankings. Thats just the way it is. Plenty of people will even drop out if they aren’t happy with the “rank” of the houses they have left. Are they missing out? Absolutely! They can 100% be just as happy and have just as much fun with a chapter that they consider “lower” tier. Arguing about it doesn’t change what happens during recruitment. Return rates are based on perceptions of what is considered “top” and “bottom”. None of this is meant as a dig. It’s just reality.

Your attempts to defend why TOR scores matter and why you should be ranked higher make you and your chapter look worse than if you just left it alone. If PNMs read this page, you literally look desperate and honestly ashamed of where you stand in greek life. You are not doing yourself or your chapter any favors. You are better off just loving your sisters and not caring what other people think.
