ranks at UF for the past decade
by: ranks
Seeing a lot of questions on here about how ranks are determined. Ranks are debatable, of course, but once you attend UF you will know that most of what is on here about top tier is accurate. GPA and money raised is something lower tiers tout so they can say they are "objectively" good. Tiers are based on relevance, popularity, reputation, retention rates during rush, social status, and overall involvement on campus. KD/ZTA/ADPI do not get "cut" by girls going through rush. The chapters have to cut PNMs because everyone wants to join them. These return rates, demonstrated year after year after year after year, prove who is the best in the eyes of the 1500 girls rushing. Ironically, those same girls (thousands of whom got cut by their dream sororities) flip to hating those chapters for being fake and cutting them for "no reason" or "based on looks." It's a numbers game. Top 3 chapters get the top 300 girls going through. Top girls are also ranked based on relevance, popularity, involvement, social status, ability to contribute to sorority goals.
Can you be happy and productive and social in a "bottom tier"? Of course! But if you are coming on greekrank to find out the ranks, then you have to accept what is understood among UF students. The top sororities are
KD/ZTA/ADPi (all top, different vibes)
Tridelt/DG/AOPi (top but always listed as #4, #5 and #6)
These are the top 6. Everyone knows it.
