Sorority legacies

My sister will be a PNM this fall. My mom was in a sorority at UF back in the 80s and I’m in a different sorority at a different Florida school. Both houses are top tier at UF. I don’t want to mention the houses because someone could figure out who she is.

Besides the legacy recommendations and recs from friends, wardrobe, conversation tips, what can we do to help my sister maximize her invites back? My mom says some of her friends have sent gifts to the houses, like flowers or food, but I think they’ve done that as groups of alums...

Sounds like you’ve done the most possible to prepare your sister. Sending gifts is weirdly desperate/close to bribery, so please don’t do that. Usually recommendations/legacies will only get you a free pass on the first round at UF. Encourage her to pick the sorority she likes best, and not to base her self worth on getting into the same sororities as you or your mom. Relax.
