contacting rush chair

Is it necessary or a good idea to contact the rush chairs for the houses I plan on rushing in the fall?

You don’t “plan to rush” certain chapters. Recruitment is a process that you go through. Yes you rank the chapters after each round but they decide to invite you back or not. Rather than contact a recruitment chair, have alumni write you recs.
