rushing as a sophomore
by: HelppppDo sororities have sophomore quotas that they have to follow for fall rush? I’m currently a freshman and dropped out of fall rush, so I might spring rush or do fall rush depending on if I like the houses that spring rush.

Yes, there is an upperclassmen quota, but that doesn't mean that the houses "have to" take a certain number. It's just the opposite. Upperclassmen quota is a maximum number, not a minimum, and limits the number of upperclassmen a house can take, just like freshmen quota does. No house is required to take anyone they don't choose to. Having a separate quota helps upperclassmen because they don't have to compete with freshmen for the same spots. Otherwise non-freshmen would hardly have a chance.
