spring rush

Can someone explain how spring rush works? I’m aware that not all sororities participate and I’m fine with that.

Same as fall but there’s less people rushing and less bids given out

spring is informal so its not the same as fall. less than half of the chapters will be taking girls and most of those won't have open events. its mostly about knowing people.

I did spring rush and basically you look out on the Panhellenic website about it and there's an information session where they tell you which houses are taking in girls for spring. Then you email the VP of recruitment and tell them you're interested in their house and would like to get more information. Some houses will do events and some houses will do it based solely on who you know. Last year the only houses that replied were DZ, DG, and deeph. So you go there and talk to them and then they will get back to you saying if you get a bid or not.

Those three were the only houses that did spring rush? Or the only houses that didn’t haven’t open sessions?

Oh and GPB and SK did open events but I didn't go because i didn't like them during fall. AXO and Phi Mu also spring rushed but did it discreetly and was invite only. DG and deeph you had to email and if you got a response then you went. DZ, GPB, and SK were the only houses that did true open house events where anyone could come. You can see past spring rushes by looking at UF Panhellenic council grade reports.
