dropped out day before bid day but regret it
by: help lolI withdrew from the rush process the night of prefs because of personal reasons, but i am better now and i am nowregretting dropping and would like to give one of the sororities a shot. I am eligible for COB but how can I reach out to one of the sororities that I had before dropping? Do you think they will consider me if I tell them my reason for dropping before bid day? I know they wanted me in their chapter, so I am hoping they are understanding. I messaged them on Facebook just now but no reply. What can I do

Nothing. You can not do anything. Why did you drop out? Were you suppose to pref at this house? You blew it . If it is one of those spring houses that rush like Aoii, Axo,, phi mu, Gamma, alpha Pi, Sk , Tri delt, Kappa. You may have a chance. I do not feel sorry for you! You came all this way and did something real stupid.

idk what sororities are doing COB this year but the COB period for all sororities other than alpha phi is this week. Starting next week the only sorority you would have the chance to join this fall would be alpha phi. Spring rush is always an option too tho and it's normally more publicized

Hey, I wouldn't say it was "stupid." She said she had personal reasons. Maybe she got really sick or had a family emergency. Maybe she was having extreme anxiety about rush and needed to take a break. OP, I wish you the best of luck no matter what happens, don't let other people put you down for taking care of yourself! You could potentially re-rush next year, and there's always a chance of someone reaching out with a snap bid, but in the meantime I'd focus on other ways to get involved at UF outside of the Greek system! Almost anything you can do within Greek life can be done outside of it, as long as you're determined and proactive.
