what do houses think when a girl is rushing as a sophomore? do they look down upon that?

@No is incorrect. No house has to take any upperclassmen. Upperclassmen quota is a 'can't take more than' number, not a requirement. Quota is a maximum limit, not a required minimum. The upperclassmen quota is an advantage for upperclassmen so they don't have to compete with freshmen for bids. Freshmen are more desirable because they have the potential to be there longer, so upperclassmen have a separate quota. But no house HAS to take anyone.

I rushed as a junior. Still made the best friends of my life!

It's a great experience no matter when you do it. Most chapters will take non-freshmen.
