rushing in the spring vs. fall?

Spring rush is very chill and only a few houses do it for a handful of new members. Houses that do it are below chapter totals and have the most members that have dropped. Lower tier houses are the main ones doing it but sometimes a middle tier or two may do it. The few that get bids usually know sisters in the house.

To say "spring recruitment" makes it sound like it's an organized process with events like in fall. It's not. Don't expect rush events; a lot of chapters under total just give out bids on the DL to girls they already know. There are not a lot of bids given out and not every house does it; even if a house did it last year doesn't mean they will again. To have a good shot at a spring bid you need to get to know girls in the houses and have a good fall semester. Spring bids are only given by a house if they are under the chapter total number. Panhellenic will be determine what chapter total is after this recruitment is over and if a chapter is below that number in the spring and thinks it is worth it they will COB.

Best chance to get a bid is during Fall recruitment. Chapters can participate in spring recruitment if they are under chapter totals. Usually this happens because members graduate at the end of fall semester, study abroad, or in some cases drop their house. You can find out how many new members were taken each semester by googling UF greek grade report. With chapter totals totals approaching 250, you can see a very few number of bids are given out in the spring.

As a freshman if you become good friends with other freshmen in a certain sorority, that's good enough for them to do spring recruitment? How does that even work?

Why did you drop fall recruitment?

Never or extremely rare have spring rush. Those two houses are Adpi and Zta. They do not give out snap bids either. Ddd , Aoi and Dg are not top houses by any means. I personally think the crappy houses like Axo, phi mu, Aoi, dz, Dg Tri delt have to have a spring rush. So many people drop from those houses. Adpi and zta do not lose a lot of girls that drop those houses. If a houses does spring rush it is not worth joining!

Ddd is not a true top house. There are only 3 true top tier houses. Kd Adpi and zta. Shut up Ddd.
