too late for legacy form?

by: legacy

Hi everyone .

My sister is a legacy from another school at one of my top-choice chapters at UF. Today I just found out that she hasn’t completed my legacy form yet. At UF i’ve Heard that this house is one of the biggest houses when it comes to reviewing legacies, and now having that advantage not on my side anymore is a bit worrying. Is there anything I can do?

it wasn’t my fault she didn’t fill it out but I should have been on top of it.. I was just wondering if there’s any chance they would even see it by this point if she were to fill it out today considering it’s online. idk how the process works so I was just asking a question

You asked a question I answered honestly and now you’re mad at the answer. Sorry for not sugar coating it but you’re an idiot if you think 3 days before recruitment a chapter is gonna memorize you as a legacy. They’ve already learned their legacies by now. Don’t even bring it up during rush because 1. The legacy policy doesn’t apply if the form isn’t filled out 2. The house will think you’re either stupid or don’t care about them since you didn’t submit the form

You’re being way to harsh to op considering this was out of her control. I get what you’re trying to say but you’re communicating that in a really catty way. She was asking a simple question but of course you’re just a troll scaring poor girls and spouting negativity with a superiority complex... go troll FSU or Alabama with your hate for once lol

Obviously she doesn’t care if you join her sorority.

If you listed that your sister is in a sororirity, on your application, the house will know. They may or may not consider it.

She should still send it in, a lot of houses have computerized forms so it’ll get there instantly.

Get it in!!! Also, your sister is not a legacy, she is an initiated member, or active; YOU are the legacy :)

Thank you! She lives abroad so she wasn't able to complete the mailed in form so she's doing it online. Do you know if the form being late will seriously impact my chances? Being a part of her chapter was something I've always dreamed of since I was a little girl (keeping an open mind tho of course!!! #TrustTheProcess), and I would seriously be so disheartened if this slip up would cost me of a potential opportunity.

ITs hard to say. Alll houses do cut legacies, some more than others. I am in a top house and we drop many legacies. Many houses have to extend round 2 invites to all legacies but then you are treated like everyone else.

Go in with an open mind and look at all the houses are you may be very disappointed.

Do not mean nothing in the top 3. Zta Kd and Adpi. Count on being dropped.

Please stop with your ‘top 3’ posts. You are embarrassing to all 3 houses.

If you don’t get it in in time just casually mention it during at least one conversation at whichever house it is (some girls never even mention it because they want to decide where they go on their own) legacies are considered and you might get to talk to girls higher up in leadership but it really doesn’t matter past round 2

is there any way to casually slip it into conversation without sounding like a try-hard? As in “I decided to rush because I saw how much fun my sister had when she was in this chapter...” etc.?
