is wearing designer too showy?

by:

currently picking out my rush outfits. I wanted to know if wearing designer is too over the top and just rubs the wrong way to a lot of girls.. I’m very blessed for the things I receive in life and I just don’t want people to get the wrong impression of me being spoiled or showing of “daddy’s money” if I show up to pref round wearing louboutins or holding some designer tote bag during round 1. Do girls really take this into consideration if it’s done modestly?

Yes it will be noticed, and yes it will look tacky. Keep it subtle, don't let your clothes speak for you

It’s a little tacky, most girls keep it modest because you don’t really want to end up in a sisterhood that values designer clothes over character (it’s also best to just leave personal finances out of conversation)

Don’t do that. Sororities aren’t looking for flashy rich girls just girls who can pay their dues. It will come off as trying too hard to impress. Your personality is what matters

Yeah no to the high end designer stuff. Most sorority members get their stuff at regular mall stores like Dillard’s or H&M.

honestly, done modestly i don’t think it’s that bad. i’d appreciate a good designer bag if the pnm actually knows fashion and is wearing it because she loves it. do what you want sis!!!!! don’t let people change ya!!!
