gpb and aphi
by: pnmHow will GPBeta and Aphi i fit into this fall's recruitment? I never see them talked about on this site in terms of ranking, and I was just wondering

Gamma Phi Beta has only been around for 3 years and they will do traditional rush, I'm not sure if they will rush out of their new house or not since it seemed to be behind schedule, but last year they recruited out of ATO.
From what I've heard Alpha Phi will be doing recruitment for round 1 with members from other chapters, but after that they'll step away and recruit a little later. Because they're trying to mimic a full chapter with freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.
In terms of ranking, they're both bottom tier since they're relatively new and moving through tiers at UF is a slow but steady process. But, don't let tiers deter you from a chapter. All chapters have great girls and if you're really looking for life long friends, all chapters will offer you that regardless.

They are nice girls and maybe ATO wants to grow UFs overall Greek life. New colonies can make us stronger ya know.

Alpha Phi will give out bids after regular Rush is over. This is how it’s done with colonization. It will be an open rush on campus at some building. They will most likely take a huge class, maybe in the 100s comprised of fresh; sophs, juniors and seniors to get the chapter going.
During round one of regular rush, PNMs will meet aphis from other chapters to get an intro and they will then step down til Rush is over.

It’s all about the girl you get and how you click. I had the opposite experience at aephi and it was painfully awkward and last on my list. But again, just me and my experience. But ranks do come down to the number of how many girls wanted to go back to each house in recruitment to meet quota, which AEPhi didn’t meet. Sorry, numbers don’t lie. Aephi’s bottom too

It really just depends on the girls you get and who you clicked with. I didn’t like AEPi at all but loved some of the other bottom tiers. I know some would say the exact opposite. Just because you and maybe 3 of your friends didn’t like their experience there doesn’t mean that they aren’t a good chapter.

Why does ATO let gamma phi recruit out of their house? They literally do nothing together.
