psa to pnm's. the "top tier" and greekrank

This is a PSA for PNM's or anyone new to greek life. The majority of "top tier" people who use this site are not truly "top tier" material. These people are only members of a top house because of their looks or legacy, and most likely do not have many other redeeming qualities.

There are a few qualities that help define top houses. Some of these qualities include involvement (SG, blue key, cicerones, etc.), looks, and social skills. The reason I'm saying this is because people who are truly "top tier" material are too busy with other aspects of their lives to be on this site. They do not come onto Greekrank to SAY why their house is better, instead, they are using their time to get involved and SHOW why their house is better. I mean, how does someone consider themselves as truly "top tier" material if they're spending their time on a website defending their rank against total strangers? Shouldn't the top tier have better things to do with their precious time? Not only does true "top tier" material have better things to do with their time, they’re also confident enough that they do not need validation and constant reassurance from internet strangers that their house is top.

The "top tier" people who use this site came to UF and got involved in Greek life, and that was enough for them. They did not need to get involved with any other aspect of this university because being a top house is enough for them to be feel validated. Someone who is true "top tier" material has several other groups they can identify with. The true "top tier" people would hardly be affected if their house was kicked off campus because they do not think so highly of themselves as to not associate with any groups outside of a top house. This is the reason why people are so defensive on greekrank. Their house is everything to them, and if that were to be taken away, they would have nothing. That is why it is so direly important for them to do whatever it takes to defend their ranks on this site. It provides them with a sense of comfort to sit behind their computer screen and correct ANYONE who thinks otherwise.

Now, to all you PNMs, watch as this post gets thumbs-downed as these people rush to the comments to give unprovable evidence and weak arguments as to how this isn't true. Again, their college career is centered around making sure no one doubts the rank of their house (which for them, they feel is a direct reflection of how good they are as a person). Just so you guys know, NO ONES RANK HAS EVER CHANGED BECAUSE OF WHAT SOMEONE SAID ON GREEKRANK. It just doesn't happen, and it will never happen. PNM's- never be the person who has to explain why your house is top, be the person who shows why you are top. If you can show why your house is top, then no explanation should ever have to be given because it would just be something that is understood by everyone.
