Everyone is different. Some people are quite mature even as freshman/sophomores, and some juniors/seniors act like they're in middle school. Obviously there's a flip-side to that too. In a school with some 35,000 people, it's hard to say when everyone matures enough to be capable of dating.


However, a lot of people want to party and get down and dirty during their freshman/sophomore years to feel like they got a true university experience. As these people become juniors/seniors, they're classes are going to get busier and they're going to look to start settling down with someone as they won't have as much time to go out and meet new people. This isn't the case for nearly everyone, but it's usually the route I see about 50% of people take
