I did the same thing when I was a PNM- I was super worried about recruitment and wanted to know EVERYTHING and Greekrank seemed like the best, most honest resource. If you really want recruitment advice, like what to worry about and how to act, talk to girls who are in sororities, or even better, talk to graduates. Girls in sororities can’t tell you everything, but the advice they can give you is the type you actually want.
Even if you don’t have anyone to ask right now, do your research by looking at the Panhellenic website and sororities’ actual media. It was way more helpful than this website’s BS. I promise you will be OK!
Also some notes on the false impression greekrank gives
1. makes it seem like everyone worries about tiers all the time. they don’t. while there may be some differences between the day to day of diff tiers (i.e. how many socials you go to, the people you see often, the bars you hang out at), it doesn’t vary all that much. people are not actually this catty and even the girls in the “top tier” don’t sit around thinking about it
2. Greekrank makes it seem like some sororities are just known to be “better” than others, and that everyone will like them in this exact order. The fact is, it is entirely possible and even probable that you can hate a house you thought you would love and love a house you thought you would hate. I preffed at three “top tier” houses, and the order I put them down in is the exact opposite of the order this website would have you believe. Spoiler- I’m super happy with my decision and every day in my sorority makes me more grateful to be in the house I am.
3. Greekrank would have you think that people judge you based on what house you’re in. While they may use their idea of your house to flesh out some parts of your personality if they don’t know you that well (i.e. if you tell someone you’re in chi O they might assume you’re also super sweet and a dependable person), they’re not going to immediately classify you as “better” or “worse” than them depending on your house. If they do, they’re a loser, and in the minority.
Rush is actually a lot of fun. Don’t let this website scare you. Have a fun summer and love yourself!

Preffed there and Pi phi and a top 3 house. Xo was not for me. Religious girls that were too straight for me. I suicided and got my house in the top. Pi phi is the most genuine house in the middle tier and clearly is so much better than XO. Do not be surprised in the next 10 years Pi phi goes to the top!

Truth is ranking does matter because if it didn't the top houses wouldn't get all the bids. Also what gets said here has a lot if truth even if delivered in a catty manner. However tegardless of rank, go with the house you feel comfortable in. Don't go into recruitment with a preconceived notion of where you want to be. I went in wanting a particular house and even had an alumni write a pref for me. In the end I HATED the house and it didn't even make my top 5.

Ranking does matter but the ranking is not accurate on this site. If the only people that agree ZTA/ADPI/KD are top 3 are ZTA/ADPI/KD...then every sorority would claim they’re the top three, it’s just those 3 are on the site the most. Also, stuff changed. KD had to do Tons of snap bids 2 consecutive years and it’s unclear if they did this year for a third year in a row. They only got 2 top PNMs this year. Ztas really aren’t that cute (so can’t say they judge on looks) everyone knows that in real life, all affects on social media. Some are good sis to each other and some aren’t, but all are boy crazy. Adpi greatly dropped after being on social probation nd having tons of drama within their sorority over hoco with KA/ATO...the whole point of joining a sorority is for the best sisterhood. Top tier means prettiest, smartest, most involved, and most importantly, BEST SISTERHOOD. Not even going to get into the dirty scandals KD, DDD just go on bar stool and zta lied to their new freshman about the new house but watch them get this post deleted

NO ONE cares about rank that much.
How to spot a troll:
-they try to diss ADPI or talk about them in a really weird way when no one cares
-try to act like “upper mid” is a thing
-say the middle and bottom tier is “full of fuglies” (seriously wtf)
-care way too much about rank
-diss the same houses repeatedly (XO, AXO, DG, AOII, ADPI, etc)
PNMs, at UF no one cares this much and even if you aren’t in a top house no one will judge you or care. All that matters is you love your house because these are the girls you will spend the next 4 years with. Don’t listen to this site there are great things about every single house.

I feel sorry for you and the sad life of (what I can only assume is) the continual pursuit of acceptance by others. The "hey look at me, look at me, am I not the greatest?" constant need for attention must be exhausting.
