tips on rush week

by:

I'm going to be transferring as a junior starting summer B, and I kept wondering if rushing as a junior is somewhat too-late for me. Not to mention that I really want to be part of Greek life, while being on the pre-med track. Any good tips? Will being in a low or mid-tier house really affect my experience? Does rank really matter?

Almost all PCs have at least a couple juniors, but keep in mind that the majority of your PC will be freshmen. If you go in with the intentions of wanting to meet a great group of girls, then tier won't really matter. If you go in with the intentions of socializing with fraternities, that's where tier matters. But even middle tier sororities socialize with top tier fraternities, so I wouldn't sweat that. Just go in with an open mind and if you don't feel like you like it drop, it's not that big of a deal.
Rush advise: honestly be yourself because no one likes someone who is obviously phony, and buy a portable fan - it will be your lifesaver and you'll make tons of friends in the tents because of it!

Can you explain what you mean by socializing with frats as a lower tier sorority? Like I know lower tier frats du, tke , fuji often go unpaired for hoco and usually hang out with girls that aren’t in sororities. Is it the same way for lower tier girls?

the girls ik in bottom tend to hang out with lower mid/bottom frats, but some of the prettier ones who have hot friends in higher ranked sororities that hang out at better frats also

I know bottom tier girls that went on pikes formal, tiers are stupid and don’t matter except during home coming. You honestly might be the only junior in your pledge class (the pc we took in last year didn’t have any) but you should still be fine. I know girls that did the same thing you’re doing and are so glad they joined. Makes campus feel a lot smaller
