trouble with friends

So I'm a new member and I'm having trouble making friends in my sorority. I thought it would be so much easier. I usually feel awkward walking into the house because I don't really have friends. How long did it take you to feel at home in your chapter to make good friends? Do you have any advice?

Joining a sorority won't magically get you friends. It gives you the OPPORTUNITY to reach out! You might not like everyone. Not everyone will like you. BUT you never know until you make that first impression. Make a PC date. Invite another girl to hang out at that frat party coming this weekend. Who cares if they say no, there are 300 others. Just be yourself.

These people are all being very negative and obviously discouraging. You will find your place eventually. It is impossible that with over 250 girls you will not find at least a few who you click with. Just don't lose hope :)

there's a lot of really negative girls all over this site and that is so sad. I'm going to be honest, I rushed expecting to hate it and not fit in. And that was completely wrong. I love my house. I'm not best friends with every girl but I've found best friends here and it's not all about partying and boys. Just reach out. People aren't just going to come to you. I hope it gets better girlie
