by: ladies!!another post was just made about this but I think it's so true! each year, each house takes about 80 girls. that means that all the top tier flashy houses like KD ZTA ADPI DDD are going to take let's say 320 girls. there are almost 2000 of you going through rush this year!!!! so stop obsessing over these five houses and realize that every house is full of wonderful girls and great sisterhoods. if you go through recruitment with an open mind and don't worry about what anyone else thinks, you're going to end up happy. so stop overlooking the other 13 houses because they're all amazing

So that means roughly 1360 girls (ROUGHLY) will get bids, and that means there will be 700 girls (roughly) that don't? So what you're saying is forget even worrying about top tier, but almost 40% of girls going through recruitment this year will be dropped by all houses and not get a bid all. Is that true?

40% of girls going through rush will NOT be completely dropped. What isn't taken into account by your math is the girls who choose to drop. After round 1 many girls choose to drop out because they decide that a sorority isn't their scene- which is fine of course! Also when the number of girls that make it to prefs is high, Pan raises the pledge class numbers. So if for some reason only 500 girls rush pledge class sizes would be adjusted accordingly. If there were 4000 rushing, pledge classes would get a lot bigger. A pledge class size of 80 is not the finite number it all depends on the amount of people rushing.
